Drama
There was no crisis.
No melodrama and no theatrics.
There were just actors and a stage.
A precise narrative.
I've seen the movies, I know all about theater.
If I'm to write a script about romance,
I would cast a pretty girl
against an easy prey
and call it cupid.
Now, if I'm to deconstruct
the psychology of a skeptic,
I would begin by dismantling
the fundamentals of materialism.
And if he is curious and logical,
shoot life's greatest mystery, and watch
just how far he will take the plot
to accommodate his curiosity.
I ought to know, I'm a critic.
