Extraordinary
It's taken me some time.
Flashes, flashes of light
poured through my retina.
Awakened in the pitch dark.
It's taken me a while
to map it, a mapping of mine.
Pings sent, a radar of time,
I must spot where I am found.
I've had oceans to reconcile.
Despite the anomalies in the Pacific;
in the Atlantic, it's apparent I'm liminal.
Paradoxically camouflaged, wet 'n wild.
It's taken me elsewhere entirely.
Not that I am beyond, nor behind.
I am up and down, left and right.
Right here and right now, ordinary.
It's taken me this life
to get it
and getting it is why
I would even get to be alive.
All my turns have since been on the house.
